RESEARCH
I am available as a fashion and cultural consultant on exhibitions, community projects, books, TV, film and additional media.
I have appeared on several podcasts discussing my research into Prince’s sartorial legacy including Dressed, Dress Fancy and the Braw and the Brave. Additionally I am a regular BBC cultural contributor appearing on Radio 2, Radio 4 and regional programming discussing aspects of fashion history.
MENTORING
Let’s achieve together! With 20 years experience studying fashion and 3+ years as an Associate Lecturer I offer specialist mentoring for students, independent learners and writers with a focus on fashion studies, academic writing and study skills. I can provide friendly, encouraging and experienced support whether it’s your dissertation or your memoir.
SPEAKING
Let’s talk! I offer bespoke and signature workshops and talks on fashion and popular culture including fan fashion, costume design and dress history.
I am passionate about public speaking and love presenting my research to a wide-range of people including children, young adults, students and specialist groups. Previously I have worked on events with Glasgow Film Theatre, Glasgow Film Festival, Inverness Film Festival, Glasgow Heritage, Tenement House and local history groups.
